The Metropolitan Police in London are considering whether to investigate a “bring your own booze” party held at Downing Street during lockdown.
If the party took place in the gardens, it could be used as a defence as it was a gathering held at a workplace instead a private home.
At the time of the party, May 2020, COVID rules were beginning to be relaxed but were still very strict, with social visits to family and friends in their homes was banned and people could meet with only one other in public.
