Delhi Police Detain Students at Jamia Millia Islamia After Scuffle During Diwali Celebrations
A disturbance occurred on the Jamia Millia Islamia campus in Delhi on Tuesday night during Diwali celebrations, as reported by news agency PTI. The clash between two groups prompted police deployment outside the campus after a rangoli event held on Diwali Day.
A video of the incident shows a group of people purportedly chanting slogans in what appeared to be during Diwali celebrations on Jamia campus. In other clips on social media, some students claimed that a group of people chanted ‘Palestine Zindabad’ while disrupting Diwali celebrations.
