The NFL has a stringent process for their officials to make sure they're not prone to manipulating games for betting reasons. That doesn't mean people haven't tried to influence referees. Former NFL VP of Officiating Dean Blandino revealed referees have been approached, but never pursued those offers, and reported such instances to NFL security.
