The Gimliet was first created to help prevent scurvy on English Naval ships as officers weren't taking their rations of lime for it's vitamin C - hence why this recipe calls for fresh lime juice rather than Rose's Lime Juice which is commonly referenced in many cocktail books such as The Bartender's Bible by Gary Regan ([ Ссылка ]).

INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Gin (2 oz)
- 30mL Fresh Lime Juice (1 oz)
- 22.5mL Simple Syrup (¾ oz)

METHOD
1. Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker
2. Shake with ice
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass
4. Garnish with a lime wheel
