Here are the steps to takeoff on a paramotor!
1) Identify wind direction
2) Layout paraglider symmetrically so that it rises in direction of the wind
Here is where you'll REALLY make a difference!
3) Start your run strong (notice that I didn't say fast)! Keep tension on the lines as the glider rises into the air. FOLLOW the path your intended to follow UNLESS you notice the wing starting to tip to one side.
4) Ensure the glider is level. If not, shift your heading towards the low side, then return to your predetermined run heading (into the wind).
5) Once the glider is level and you're running straight, PROMPTLY accelerate the throttle to full power (over 3-4 seconds).
6) As the thrust increases (in response to the addition of power) arch backwards to counteract the force of the thrust.
7) Allow glider's airspeed to build. We know airspeed is achieved when we can feel a STRONG lifting force that is felt trough the harness.
8) Once STRONG LIFT is felt, apply slight brake pressure to generate even more lift, which should lift you into the air.
