The Mustangs had to survive an intense comeback effort from the Cardinal to get the 67-63 victory. SMU led the entire game and was up by 12 with two minutes left in the game. Stanford then went on an 11-0 run until a Zanai Jones layup with 16 seconds left to steady things for SMU. It is the Mustangs' first-ever win in ACC conference play. Jones finished the game with 20 points, five assists, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Nya Robertson made four three-pointers and scored 21 points. Elena Bosgana led Stanford with 20 points and Nunu Agara had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
