This shows a partial driver view of secondary highway B9122 southbound between Channerwick and Skelberry on the principal Shetland Island, Shetland Main, as well as many of the scenes surrounding the highway as we traveled south from Lerwick towards Sumburgh during a Viking excursion while on a British Isles Explorer cruise. The date is 5/15/23 and this is representative of Shetland Main's rural areas. The excursion was Ancient Civilizations of Shetland. We pass a Scottish highway maintenance truck and kudos to them for maintaining the roads in Shetland so well.
