Though Wills’ more swing-friendly 1941 version with added vocal that was re-titled “New San Antonio Rose” is more commonly heard today (listen here: [ Ссылка ] ), this post is of the first recording of his famous signature tune.
The original 78rpm single was issued on Vocalion 4755 - San Antonio Rose (Wills) by Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, recorded November 28, 1938
