Coal is the single largest contributor of global warming.

By phasing out coal, we can reduce emissions, protect public health, and halt the progression of climate change. Today’s closure of the Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station, the last coal plant in the UK, is a monumental step for the UK to fulfill its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reaching net-zero by 2050.
