It's Zone 4 this week if you follow the Flylady system, and in this video I'm focusing on one of the most important tasks. I'll be detailed vacuuming, dusting with the dusting brush on my vacuum, putting laundry away and changing the bedding in the master bedroom! I walk you through how easy it can be to clean, tidy and freshen up your space by detailed cleaning and then simply swapping out your sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover for clean ones. A clean, comfortable bedroom is key to a restful night's sleep, and this small monthly cleaning routine can make a big difference in how your bedroom feels. Follow along as I put laundry away, vacuum and strip the bed part of my FlyLady Zone 4 cleaning routine!

In the FlyLady system, Zone 4 refers to the master bedroom, which may also include the master bathroom and closet if they are attached to the bedroom. The FlyLady method divides the home into five zones, each assigned to a specific week of the month, to ensure that all areas of the home are maintained without becoming overwhelming.

During Zone 4, the focus is on thoroughly cleaning and decluttering the master bedroom. Tasks can include:

Changing and freshening up the bedding
Dusting and wiping down furniture
Cleaning windows and mirrors
Vacuuming or sweeping the floors
Organizing drawers and closets
Cleaning any attached bathroom or closet areas
The idea is to perform a deeper clean in this area while maintaining regular upkeep. By focusing on one zone per week, the FlyLady system ensures the home stays clean and organised with minimal daily effort.
