FOX NFL SUNDAY, the No. 1 NFL pregame show for 26 consecutive years, and FOX NFL KICKOFF honored the U.S. military for Veterans Day this year with a live broadcast from the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego. More than 11,000 troops on-site played host to FOX Sports’ long-standing tradition of broadcasting from a military installation as America collectively pauses to pay tribute to those who have served our country.
Furthering its work with nonprofit Good Sports on the Restore Play initiative, FOX Sports teamed up with Blue Star Families, a nonprofit organization committed to building communities around the world that empower military families, to deliver fitness equipment and athletic apparel to its members in Chicago and New York.
Donations of sports and fitness equipment were made to the military-impacted North Chicago School District 187 for the families of 335 children lacking the necessary resources to supplement virtual learning physical education classes.
In New York, families of active duty servicemembers in the Fort Wadsworth Sector Housing on Staten Island received play packs consisting of sports equipment and apparel for their children to stay active at home in the wake of cancelled sports activities.
