All the bosses in Fearmonium, where you play as a growing phobia of clowns wandering through a boy's mind to rough up other phobias and depression to become the strongest thing in his mind.
There are hidden fears in a zone that lower boss HP. I opted to not find any of them (basically doubling boss HP after a point) until the game requires you to find them all to face the final boss (otherwise your attacks do no damage). There's also a parasol item that has you take 0 damage from the next attack that hits you, which I opt to not use. However, with how much stuff you deal with for the final boss I did use the clown move that gives you iframes repeatedly to avoid damage (not my preference but there are some unfair attacks like having all the safe spots on the opposite side of the room with a lot of bubbles blocking your way). There's no reward for the extra boss HP and the last few bosses are already plenty tanky, so I think the extra challenge wasn't worth it in the end.
Still, it's overall a fun metroidvania to explore. I think having limited use items (even if you can buy more) might not have been as useful as making the items a distinct skill, or having the infinite varieties unlocked sooner.
