(7 Nov 1994) NASA lost contact for eight minutes on Sunday (6/11) with the
space shuttle Atlantis and its six astronauts due to crossed radio
signals. The astronauts spent Sunday (6/11) working on a heat-radiator experiment, testing a simplified system
that future space vehicles or stations might use in place of the
shuttle's complex cooling equipment.
