Are you thinking of moving to or visiting The Island in Vero Beach, Florida? Then this video is for you! 
Vero Beach is a small beach town on the east coast of Florida. We are about 2 hours north of Fort Lauderdale and 45 minutes south of Melbourne. We are often referred to as a hidden gem because not
many people have heard of our beautiful community! 
One of my favorite things to do on the Island in Vero Beach is go shopping on ocean drive! You can enjoy the cool ocean breeze while jumping from shop to shop! Ocean Drive is lined with boutiques where you
can find anything from clothing, to home decor, to souvenirs, and even delicious tacos from a local favorite restaurant, El Sid! 
Another favorite of mine is running or walking the fitness trail in riverside park. The trail is a 1-mile-long loop that winds in-between majestic oak trees and palms which provide shade and cool breezes. There
are also a ton of great events throughout the year held at Riverside Park including farmers markets, festivals, and an amazing firework display over the lagoon on 4th of July! 
The Vero Beach art museum is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family. It houses state and national art exhibits, as well as exhibits from local artists that reside right here in Vero
Beach! Many original vero beach homes that are being sold will donate artwork to the museum, so there is a great combination of nationally acclaimed art as well as beautiful pieces from your very own
neighbors on the Island. There is also an incredible sculpture garden, performances, workshops and more! 
When you’re done visiting the museum make sure to enjoy a cocktail and some local cuisine right on the ocean! Vero’s beachside is incredible, lined with restaurants that serve a little of everything! Fresh seafood caught that morning, delicious American comfort food, authentic Mexican and Italian spots, and more! As well as a few shops that sell ice cream and sweets, including an authentic gelato from Vero Caffe which was opened by Joe, who studied how to make gelato in Italy for 2 years! And if you’re in the
mood for drinks you can visit a chic cocktail lounge like Sol Mar to enjoy specialty drinks or stop by a relaxed brewery like Sailfish to enjoy some beer and appetizers. My favorite menu item from Sailfish is
their fried peanut butter sandwich, it is a must try if you stop by the brewery! 
If you’re in the mood to spend the day in the water, you can also rent a paddleboard or kayak at Shark Bait and go out on the water for some outdoor fun or you can swim to the shipwreck right off the coast to
go snorkeling. You can also rent beach chairs and a tent from Shark Bait and spend the day soaking up the Florida sun on the soft white sand! And the best part is, you can spend all day on the beachside for
free! You do not have to pay for parking in Vero Beach, and because we’re a small beach town you can always find a spot to park and enjoy our beachside whenever you want.
