I had an M18 that was basically garbage all the components were completely beyond use. This is the full restoration video. The M18 Milwaukee red lithium 18v batteries are very well made but this one had been abused and suffered severe water damage. The cells were in a horrendous condition some being burst and corroded along with the PCB board which was rusted out. The nickle strip was mostly beyond reuse. I decided rather than add to landfill I would carry out a total restoration/rebuild of it. As is common on my channel it was a very budget way if doing this. I purchased a generic PCB board from ebay for £8.00 I don't think you can buy genuine ones. I had a non functional Panasonic 18v 5ah pack with a bank of 10 perfect cells so these were repurposed to become the cell pack for the Milwaukee battery. The batteries used contain 18650 lithium ion cells usually LG or Samsung which are common in a multitude of power tool batteries. It is not advisable to repeat the process shown on this video.
