Valiasr Square (which was called Valiashad Square before the 1978 Iranian Revolution) is one of the main squares in Tehran. This square is located at the intersection of Valiasr Street, Karim Khan Zand Boulevard and Keshavarz Boulevard. Quds Cinema is located on the southwest side, as well as Esteghlal Cinema and Africa Cinema in the north of this square.
The reconstruction project of Valiasr Square in the last months of 1995 passed its last construction operations and was inaugurated in March on 7 floors with 45,000 meters of usable buildings. The Valiasr Square Plaza project has provided direct access to Tehran Metro Line 3 and Line 6 (under construction).
Since 2008, at the same time with the construction of the first phase of Tehran Metro Line 3, the construction workshop of the metro station in Valiasr Square was activated. Line 3 station is being built at a depth of 11 meters and Line 6 station is being built at a depth of 45 meters above the ground.
