1- Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has on Wednesday announced that he, along with his wife, will file defamation cases against some opposition leaders including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders for allegations made against them in the "Jobs for Cash" scam.
Addressing the media at Dabolim Airport, CM Sawant emphasized his commitment to ensuring transparency in the investigation into the scam and criticized the opposition for targeting him and his wife with baseless claims.
"The people who had paid for jobs have filed their complaints, and we have arrested the accused. I was the one who initiated this investigation and gave the police a free hand to ensure a fair and transparent probe. No one will be spared in this case," Sawant stated firmly.
He accused the opposition of resorting to baseless allegations due to a lack of real issues.
 "The opposition cannot see the great work being done by the government, so they have started making such unfounded claims. My wife has never participated in any administrative work of the government. While she is a BJP member, she is not involved in the government’s functioning," Sawant clarified.
Sawant reiterated his intention to take legal action against the opposition including the AAP leaders, including filing defamation cases. 
"I have already begun the process to explore legal options. Notices will be sent through the court, and no one will be spared. These AAP leaders, some of whom are out on bail for the excise scam, need not point fingers at me and my wife," he added.


2- The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) executive committee meeting was held after two and a half years.
As per sources, Congress leaders slammed GPCC Prez Amit Patkar for only attacking Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and keeping mum against CM Sawant. Congressmen further stated that people are taking that CM Sawant controlled Congress party.
GPCC Chief Amit Patkar has rubbished these allegations stating that there is no truth to it.
There have also been allegations that Patkar is running Congress like a company.
Congressmen have also raised concerns that AAP is taking up the same issue in a better way as compared to Congress.


3- The Tourism Department has given in-princial approval to Spacebound Web Labs Private Limited to organise 'Sunburn Festival 2024' from 28th to 30th December 2024 at Dhargalim-Pernem.

4- The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) , Mapusa has granted bail to Kukesh Rauta, who was arrested by the Crime Branch for allegedly attempting to extort Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira.
Odisha native Rauta is accused of threatening to release a morphed obscene video of the legislator to extort money.


5- In a Public interest litigation related to the felling and translocation of trees for the Porvorim elevated road project, the High Court has directed the Goa government to place on record the mechanism it opts for translocating heritage trees. Adjourning the hearing for Monday, the High Court has allowed the petitioner to add Hyderabad-based Doctor Tree company, which has got contract to supervise the translocation of 6 trees coming en route to the Porvorim elevated road project.


6-The Directorate of Mines & Geology has given letters of intent to 2 mining companies I.e JSW and Agarvanshi today,
Both companies were successful bidders during the e-auction of their respective mining blocks which was held earlier this year.
