An expectant arrival of the King.

Just like they looked to the coming Messiah, we look to His second promised return.

We look ahead with the hope of a promised new world. A New Heavens and a New Earth, where darkness has ceased and the light breaks forth forevermore.

For some this is a joyful time, for some it is a quiet time.

For the sorrowful it is a time of longing for when all will be restored, and the Christmas season a reminder of what was lost, and what we long to gain upon His return.

For others, it is a time of excited exuberance, where we celebrate in the joy of the season, and children eagerly await the gifts that Christmas morning will bring.

No matter where you are in this expectant time of “waiting”, we can rejoice, for Christ has come for the salvation of the whole world to those who believe in Him. He is coming once again to reclaim His bride and make all things New.

O come O come Emmanuel.

God with us. He is near, and calls me friend.

He is indeed with us. Even in the longing, even in the joy, and even in the winter and summers of life.

God with us.
