Led by the UNESCO GEM Report’s Profiles Enhancing Education Reviews (PEER) team, this session offers a unique cross-country perspective on school leadership and engages education policy makers from different regions in discussion on how and why school leadership is now an education policy priority around the world.

About the School Leadership Matters Summit:
The School Leadership Matters Summit 2024, co-convened by Global School Leaders and UNESCO GEM Report, brought together school leaders, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, NGOs, philanthropists, and others to explore the pivotal role of effective school leadership in strengthening education. With 9 sessions across 3 days, 35+ speakers discussed discussed the unique challenges school leaders face today and promising solutions emerging from the Global South.
Held virtually from November 5th to 7th, 2024, the summit also celebrated the release of the 2024 UNESCO GEM Report: Lead for Learning.
