How to run Tag rules inside chatbots created using the Smart Sender constructor
In this video, I'll demonstrate how to effectively use the rule section within chatbots created on the Smart Sender platform. In this tutorial, we'll explore how to trigger rules based on assigned user tags. For instance, imagine you run an online school. When a subscriber completes the first lesson, you want to automatically guide them to a series of messages offering a premium course. Let's dive in!
Let's navigate to the Smart Messenger and create a simple scenario. We'll craft a message that reads, "Check out our free introductory lesson on home decoration. Click the button below." Next, we'll add and create a tag: "Home Decoration Lesson." We'll link the button to this tag. Whenever a user clicks this button, the corresponding tag will be assigned.
Now, let's set up a second funnel, presenting valuable content and promoting the main course. We'll keep the specifics brief for this example. Following the first block, we'll introduce a delay to ensure users watch lesson 1 to completion. We'll insert a 1-day delay, followed by the text "Valuable Content" and a "Buy Now" button. After another 2-day delay, we'll provide more content.
Both funnels need to be published. Next, head over to the "Rules" section. Let's create our first rule. In the first column, select "When this happens" and the trigger. In the second column, choose "Perform these actions," set the frequency, and outline the actions.
In our case, we select the trigger "Tag." In the second column, we choose "Subscribe to Funnel." Let me explain: when a user is assigned this specific tag, and they receive it after clicking this particular button, they will be automatically subscribed to this funnel. They'll receive their first message either immediately or as scheduled, for instance, after 1 day according to our scenario. To activate the rule, make sure to enable it here.
