During the Monday Night Wars the biggest blunder was when Eric Bischoff spoiled when Mick Foley, Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, the three faces of Foley beat the Rock THE FINAL BOSS when he was Corporate Rock with Vince and Shane McMahon. Triple H and Degeneration X with Billy Gunn, Chyna, Road Dogg Jesse James and X-Pac were helping Mick Foley keep the Corporation at bay during the match. Shawn Michaels was unavailable at the time.
WCW had Goldberg, Hogan, the NWO, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall but 300k viewers switched the channel to see the title change during the Monday Night War.
It was a misstep like this that caused people to see that WWF WWE was worth watching and the tide started to turn for the WWE to win the war and put WCW out of business.
