I love using Ableton for my live keyboard performance rig but one drawback has been that there's no tap tempo function for delays except for the global session tempo. Obviously, that is impractical if you have anything else going on in your set. To address this, I built a Max for Live plugin that works as a tap tempo for the Echo plugin. This means you can freely manipulate the delay time (and many other parameters) without disrupting the general flow of your session/set.
It's a great way to get some of that analog hardware experience while still being fully in the box.
