The United Nations on Monday (3/7) marked the third anniversary
of the opening of the humanitarian airlift to Sarajevo, frustrated
by its inability to bring in food to feed the city or maintain
steady energy supplies. UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski said the
city's bakery could be forced to shut down by the end of the week,
because of a lack of fuel and flour.

UN spokesman kris janowski sot saying "the situation is the worst
in terms of prospects; we have had bad spell in sarajevo before,
sometimes there was less food in city than it is now, but we still
had the airlifts, or propects for airlift to resume very quickly;
we did have overland convoys, security situation was off and on,
worse or better; at the moment, everything is pretty much stuck
and we see no prospects for things to get unblocked"

sarajevo is certainly getting worse; all the baker has - unhcr
