Departure from Pyramiden via snowmobile on 3/13/2022. This is the initial portion of what is a very long journey back to Longyearbyen. We begin at the Pyramiden hotel lot and make our way out of the settlement and onto the frozen Billetfjord,and as per instructions no stopping on the frozen fjord due to the danger of polar bear attacks. The trip concludes at the base of the massive Nordenskiøld glacier. Over three hours. is spent on the glacier during the trip. Tour was provided by Grumant and was without a doubt the greatest company I’ve traveled with on my numerous trips to the archipelago.
