National Highway 10, Sikkim's lifeline, will remain closed for at least two more days following a landslide that occurred on Monday. Earlier, communication through Sikkim's lifeline NH-10 came to a grinding halt yet again after a portion of the strategic highway caved in Monday evening.
Public Works and Road Transport officials assessed the site and recommended further hillside cutting. Alternative routes are operational with restrictions.
