Intel® Optane persistent memory offers larger and more affordable capacity than DRAM but with nearly the same latency, bridging the gap between DRAM and storage in data-intensive workloads. Intel Optane persistent memory is compatible with 2nd Generation Intel Xeon® Scalable Processors. The modules are DDR4 socket compatible and can coexist with DDR4 DIMMs.
