Best Things To Do On Alaska Land Tour | Kenai Fjords National Park
Here are some of the best things to do on an Alaska Land Tour when visiting Kenai Fjords National Park in Seward, Alaska. We only had two days to spend in Kenai Fjords National Park, but we got to see and do a lot in those 48 hours. We started our trip with a stop at the Visitor Center located in Seward, Alaska. Then made our way to the Nature Center located at the Exit Glacier area. There we spent the day getting our Junior Ranger badges and hiking to Exit Glacier.
The next day was spent out on the water, exploring more of the National Park. We took the Kenai Fjords National Park Tour with Dinner on Fox Island with Kenai Fjords Tours, that has been in business since 1974. It was over 8.5 hours of marine wildlife viewing, glaciers, and more, and ended with dinner on Fox Island that consisted of Alaskan Salmon and Prime Rib.
We also share with you where we stayed. The Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge, yes the same Princess as the cruise line, is located in Cooper Landing, Alaska. It is a wonderful property, and is one of our favorite places to stay in Alaska. They have trails you can hike, the Kenai River is right there with rafting and fishing available, and they have a beautiful deck where you can grab something to eat or just sit and relax. Each private bungalow has its own wood burning stove and private porch, so you can relax there, too!
