I strongly believe that we have all the resources and knowledge available to enable access to high quality education to everybody globally. I am intrigued by the question - why aren't we already doing it?
In this talk we look at one vision for reaching that goal. We explore a few examples of what high quality learning opportunities could look like, how we could create them and what are the challenges that need to be overcome. Märt Aro`s involvement in the field of educational development dates back to his secondary school years, which saw Märt organizing educational events for peers on a national level. But this was just the beginning: since 2004, he has established numerous organizations and companies in the area of educational development. For example, Märt is the co-founder of DreamApply.com Student Application Management Platform, which was launched in 2011 and is currently used by more than 300 universities from across 40 countries.
Märt also serves as Chairman of the Board at NGO EdTech Estonia, which brings together 45+ founders of education innovation initiatives from Estonia with the aim of sharing experience and fostering cooperation. In order to drive education forward, Märt regularly collaborates with the United Nations, the European Union, the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, and many others.
Märt is confident that we have all the means and knowledge available to us in order to significantly increase the quality of learning experience and provide access to education for everybody globally. But educational development is not the only thing keeping Märt busy: he is also a proud father of two boys and, after intense periods of work, he likes to recharge his batteries working in the countryside. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
