Since global warming was acknowledged as a problem, the ‘international community’ has set various limits on how much warming is acceptable. The problem is that in order to adhere to these limits, drastic elimination of fossil fuel infrastructure would be needed - and that was never actually going to happen.
Ash Sarkar sat down with Human Ecologist and Author, Andreas Malm to talk about ‘Overshoot’, his new book co-authored with Wim Carton, which details the movement to reduce global temperatures whilst still somehow appeasing the capitalist class.
