Meet the guest: Dr. Katherine VanValin [ Ссылка ] is an Assistant Extension Professor at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on enhancing beef cattle operations with on-farm technology and supporting producers in the direct-to-consumer beef market. She holds a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition from Iowa State University, an M.S. from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor's in Agriculture and Chemistry from Western Kentucky University. Dr. VanValin's research explores factors affecting the mineral requirements of beef cattle, aiming to develop strategic mineral supplementation practices.
