While Larder Beetles target meats, cheeses, and pet foods, they aren’t brought into homes in infested packages like other stored product pests. Larder beetles already live outdoors, then they come inside looking for food. To get rid of an infestation in your home, remove their food sources and clean your pantry. Throw out boxed and bagged foodstuffs, vacuum all cracks and crevices in the shelving, then wipe down all shelves with warm water. If larder beetles have been found in fabrics, wash them with hot water and dry with high heat. Next, create long-lasting control with Supreme I/T. Indoors, treat cracks and crevices where you’ve found larder beetle activity, then spray outdoors to create a repelling barrier around your home. Seal outdoor entry points with Sealator Pro Black Foam, then set up Pro Pest Pantry Moth and Beetle traps, non-toxic glue traps made with pheromones that attract pantry pests in a 300-square-foot area.
