Photovolt Development Partners is developing the largest photovoltaic power plant in Japan on Ukujima, Nagasaki Prefecture.

The Ukujima Mega Solar Park has an approved capacity of 480 MWp (DC).
The power plant will be connected via high voltage submarine cable to the electricty grid at Ainoura S/S which is approximately 65 km away.

The project has a positive environmental impact and is compatible with agriculture through farming and breeding cattle under a specially designed agri-solar systems which is helping among others to revitalise over 200 ha of abandoned farmland and create additional employment and economic growth for the island.
