Grand Rapids is a Michigan city on the Grand River, east of Lake Michigan. At the 2020 census, the city had a population of 198,893,[5] making it the second-most populous city in Michigan, after Detroit. Grand Rapids was the childhood home of U.S. President Gerald Ford, who is buried with his wife Betty on the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in the city.[6] The city's Gerald R. Ford International Airport and Gerald R. Ford Freeway are named after him.
