If you like this Flamenco dancing and music demonstration, you can see more, in person, at Nubeluz, the sky-high cocktail bar from Chef José Andrés atop The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, which is introducing a Flamenco Residency for the month of April, 2023, timed with Spain’s famed La Feria de Abril de Sevilla, “Seville’s April Fair.” Performing two sets every Tuesday evening in April, Flamenco Flavor will bring a fiery fiesta with an urban twist to the jewel box in the sky.

Laura Castellano, Monica Herrera, and Cristina Moguel will ignite the room with Spanish rhythms and Latin choreography, dancing to the voice and soulful guitar playing of David M. Castellano. Menu specials include a Champagne Billecart-Salmon flight and “Say When!” caviar service.

These champagne selections will also be available by the glass - Brut Reserve ($40), Brut Rosé ($58) and Brut Rosé Cuvée Elizabeth ($150) – and accompanied by “Say When” Caviar Service, starting at 3 grams Ossetra caviar and scooping until you say “…when!”. About the Flamenco Residency: The experience includes a dance trio, made up of Flamenco Flavor’s Laura Castellano, Monica Herrera,and Cristina Moguel, wearing handmade flamenco dresses. Singer and guitarist David M. Castellano accompanies the trio combining the modern and authentic sounds of legendary Spanish musicians such as Paco De Lucia, Vincente Amigo, Tomatito, Gypsy Kings and more.

La Fería de Abril comes two weeks after Semana Santa, “Holy Week,” every year. The fair lasts one week and starts every year on El Lunes del “Pascaito” (also known as El Lunes del “Alumbrao”) and lasting through the week. This year, La Fería will happen from April 23 – April 29, during which Seville will deck out the fairgrounds with bright lights and colorfully striped casetas (“tents”).
