Welcome to the Great Lakes Mall in Cleveland suburbs of Mentor. The mall was built in 1961 with Sears, JCPenney, Higbee’s . Horne’s opened up 1974. May Company opened up in 1964. Sears opened up in 1970. In 1992 the Higbee’s and the Hornes locations became Dillards North and Dillards South. In 1993 May Company closed and became Kaufman’s in 1993. In 2006 Kaufman’s became Macy’s. In 2014 Dick’s Sporting Goods was added to the mall. In 2017 Dillards South closed for good. In 2017 Sears closed. In 2018 Round 1 Opened up in the former Dillards South store and in 2021 Macy’s closed for good. As of 2021 the mall currently sits at 80% occupied and its a thriving mall as of February 2021.
