I got a number of AT cases and vintage parts recently, so I decided to do this little build. A lot of people do "ultimate" retro builds for a particular year, so I thought it'd interesting to do the opposite, and build what would be a fairly basic entry-level system around the early 90s (Also, I lack the parts necessary for an "ultimate" build :P).
A couple of things to note; I realize that a 20MB MFM hard drive isn't really appropriate for a 386, but I only have one ISA IDE controller, and I plan on using that for a different build in the future. Also, I mistakenly said that the system had 4MB of RAM in the video, but it actually has 2MB. You may also notice that the 5.25" drive doesn't do anything on boot-up, that's because the floppy cables I had on hand weren't long enough to reach both drives, so I left it disconnected for now.
Special thanks to Peter Job and Stuart Kinnear from the South African vintage computing and console group on Facebook for donating a lot of the parts used in this build, you guys are awesome! Link to FB group: [ Ссылка ]

Final note: Yes, I'm aware that the back wall in my room is dirty, it hasn't been cleaned since forever. I'll get to that eventually...
