Beethoven is a juvenile/subadult Grey-Headed Flying-Fox who was found on the road late one rainy night.
He had hit his head quite badly and thought I first thought he had a spinal injury because his legs were grasped together onto each other and seemed "wrong", but he could move his legs and it seemed like he was more of a head injury. This appears to be some sort of spastic paralysis of the legs and may indicate a spinal injury above pelvic level.
He wouldn't drink anything, not even the juice.
His condition was quite tenuous; it worsened overnight and he died sometime during the next day.
RIP little Beethoven.
