This clicking noise started a couple months ago and i have been trouble shooting the steering components and suspension to find out where the noise was coming from. so after looking at everything a couple times i decided to get the car up and start tightening and checking the fasteners to make sure nothing was loose. as i went over all the fasteners starting at the rack i found than one(passenger side) star bolt wasn't as tight as the other. the tight one wouldnt budge and the passenger side bolt could be turned using a bit of force. so i tightened it up real good and tried the steering. the clicking noise was gone. i guess when i put on the ar downpipes i didnt tighten them up enough. this is an easy fix get the car up on ramps or jack stands. unbolt the under body paneling under the engine. locate the rack bolts i used the female star socket and a 16mm box end wrench. its a tight place to work but its so worth the time and effort to get a free fix to an annoying clicking sound.
