The start of the Andrea Holden 5K road race, Nov. 30, 2024, Dennis, MA. The race is held to celebrate the memory of Andrea Holden, a second grade student in a local school who sadly passed away in Nov., 1990, and is held every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to benefit local charities that aid the health of our children. The race gives runners and walkers a chance to enjoy a mostly flat (with one short, steep hill) seaside course. There were 414 finishers. There are hamburgers and hot dogs and an extensive raffle at the finish, and age group awards up to 90+. Men's winner was Brayden White in a time of 17:38 and women's winner was Hannah Neary in a time of 20:17. 90+ men's winner was Larry Cole in a time of 51:15.
