A few months ago, a new Bloomberg article detailed what happened behind the scenes during the tumultuous development of Suicide Squad at Rocksteady Studios.

The article’s highlight was what Jason Schreier claimed at the very end, saying Rocksteady was now looking to pitch a new single player game that would “return the studio to its roots”.

With Rocksteady wrapping up Suicide Squad soon, part of the team has already started working on their next project. A LinkedIn profile from one of their devs says they’ve been working on an unannounced project since June 2024.

A few weeks ago, an X (formerly Twitter) post by Nick Baker from the XboxEra Podcast on YouTube hyped up Batman fans, claiming he’s heard that Rocksteady’s going back to Batman and Sony’s trying to make it an exclusive.
