The COVID-19 Pandemic prompted Plymouth State University’s TIGER Program, with the generous sponsorship of the Common Man Family of Restaurants, to create TIGER TIME, to provide teachers, parents, and children in grades K-4, with additional online curriculum during a very challenging time in our world.
With the exception of a few of the clips included, each performer recorded their part of TIGER TIME on their own camera in their own home, where they were in isolation from the virus. Without a consistent studio, lighting, sound, or an onsite director, these short videos represent each artist’s individual gift to the teachers, parents, and children in communities around the world.
Based on the Plymouth State University’s TIGER Program [ Ссылка ], an Emmy Award-Winning educational touring theatre which has performed for over 500,000 children across New England, TIGER TIME was conceived and created by Trish Lindberg, PSU Faculty and TIGER Artistic Director (plindber@plymouth.edu) and Fidaa Ataya, PSU international graduate student in the MEd in Integrated Arts Program from Palestine.
Trish communicated with potential artists, collected videos, and wrote the intros and stories, and Fidaa did all the computer video editing and compilation of videos. Together, they crafted the final cut from material collected from over 10 different artists, old video clips of TIGER performances, and studio recordings.
Trish and Fidaa would like to thank Plymouth State University, Alex Ray and the Common Man Family of Restaurants, and the many creative individuals who shared their artistic talents in order to help create this Project.
