Located in Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the BEST national parks in the East Coast, and by far one of the best if you want to see Black Bears in the wild. Over 2000 Black Bears call the Great Smoky Mountains home, which many reside in Cades Cove, a stunning valley surrounded by the beautiful Blue ridge mountains. From Black Bears hanging out on or under trees to multiple Black Bears hanging out near the road and even crossing the road right in front of us, Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains is a Bear watching haven, and you are almost guaranteed to see a bear in the wild if you visit in the morning or evening hours. Enjoy!
