Tomorrow, 23 March, marks the one year anniversary of the UK going into the first national lockdown.
As we prepare to join the nation at 12 noon tomorrow for a national one-minute silence to remember all those who have lost their lives or been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Worshipful Mayor of Barnet, Cllr Caroline Stock, reflects upon the year we have had and those we have lost, but also looks towards a more hopeful future for all in Barnet.
“Let us reflect tomorrow on what we have lost, but also on the hope we have achieved from working collectively.”
Following the national one-minute silence at 12noon there will also be a national doorstep vigil at 8pm, where everyone throughout the UK is encouraged to gather on the doorstep and help create a nationwide 'beacon of remembrance' by beaming phones, candles and torches into the night sky. #BarnetTogether #LondonTogether
