Disco Elysium is a dream detective game, in that you play a play a detective (yes) and it feels like a dream. But that also makes it our dream detective game - an impossibly clever trip through crime story like no other. Armed with fresh Disco Elysium gameplay, let Astrid be your guide. Oh, and why not check out our Rock Paper Shotgun Displate store, to help support the channel. Click here: [ Ссылка ]
As Astrid’s Disco Elysium impressions explain, this is a hard game to pin down: your character is not only suffering a profound hangover, but is basically a walking collection of warring instincts. Some of them helping you in job, others derailing your every step of the way. This is a game where your stats and skills aren’t just words on a menu, but characters who demand to be heard. It’s pretty out there. So be careful during Disco Elysium character creation - you could be making a monster.
This Disco Elysium preview covers the first day of the game, so don’t expect a full Disco Elysium review just yet. Astrid is working on that in the background, but hopefully these impressions tell you what you need to hear. If you are a fan of detective games or general mystery games, there’s certainly lashings of both genres here, although you have to navigate so much more as you try to solve the case. As you’ll hopefully glean from our Disco Elysium gameplay, there’s a lot to parse here.
We hope you enjoy this video - if you do, please give a like and subscribe to Rock Paper Shotgun. If the video leaves you with any questions about the game, just pop them in the comments and Astrid will answer them - she’s played loads of the game and van hopefully help unpick it. If you enjoyed this video, why not watch more of Astrid’s great analysis pieces - such as how Untitled Goose Game channels the spirit of Metal Gear Solid, or why Nobita's many deaths are so much fun.
Thanks for watching and hopefully see you again soon. Bye for now.
