Ever wonder if it's SAFE to suck up broken glass or sharp ceramic particles with your vacuum? Let my CAT and MIELE vacuum answer that for you!
Hello - this is Rachel From Queen Vacuum in Red Bank, NJ....broadcasting from HOME this time! See a REAL LIFE demonstration of how the Miele Dynamic U1 upright vacuum (formerly called S7) tackles a broken vase (courtesy of my cat, "Chanel")
Broken glass or ceramic is obviously dangerous to touch, which is why your vacuum can be an effective choice for picking up and safely trapping those pesky fragments. You'll see here that the Miele has powerful enough suction to lift the heavier chunks of broken vase, while the strong, reinforced-fabric filter bags holds the sharp objects without ripping! * * * HOWEVER - I do NOT recommend trying with bagless vacuums, or vacuums with flimsy paper bags. There is too great a risk of exposure to the sharp shards of glass when emptying the dirt bin, or if the paper rips! * * *
