Dr Craig Davies leads EBRD’s work on mainstreaming climate resilience into EBRD’s investment operations in emerging economies across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Turkey and the Southern & Eastern Mediterranean.
Dr Davies has a particular interest in climate change impacts on emerging economies and in the integration of climate resilience into investment planning across a wide range of sectors, including various types of infrastructure (energy, transport, urban and water), agriculture, manufacturing and extractive industries, and financial services. Over the past decade he has worked closely with the major international climate finance mechanisms such as the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
Dr Davies joined EBRD in 2006 having previously worked at the UK’s Department for International Development (DfID). He holds a PhD in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London (2001)
