Lines may be inevitable when visiting the City of Lights, but there are some ways to make the wait shorter. When visiting the popular Louvre Museum, consider how much you want to see of this vast collection. If a few hours to hit the highlights is good, go on Wednesday or Friday night. The museum is open until 10 pm. Arrive late in the day and most lines for tickets will be small or none. The popular artwork, like the Mona Lisa will also be less crowded.
If you want a whole day at the museum, buy your ticket in advance at FNAC, a music/electronics store with multiple locations in the city.
