A viewer noted that the first stroke in the series shown looks like a Canadian stroke because the recovery slices back through the water. The correction of a J happens at the end of the stroke and then is sliced out - the slice in the first stroke is longer than typical but there is no pitch on the blade, there is no correction. A Canadian stroke is a continuous motion, the slice out has some pitch, and provides correction as part of the recovery.
