Commentator Kara Kennedy says the United States and the UK are experiencing an “acute need” for housing which is only exacerbated by the influx of migrants.
“Local people who work hard can’t peacefully work in their own towns,” Ms Kennedy said.
“Look at New York, Chicago, London – there is such a high homeless population in these places that they are turning their own neighbourhoods into tent cities.
“People are angry.”
This comes as Massachusetts' two-year emergency shelter tab approaches $2 billion due to a soaring migrant crisis in the state.
