Alan Watts, Wu wei, the principle of not forcing in anything you do. Alan Watts was an English Philosopher, writer, speaker, and his works include Taoism, Daoism, Buddhism, and Hindu philosophy and wisdom.
Taoism has been connected to the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu, who around 500 B.C.E. wrote the main book of Taoism, the Tao Te Ching. Taoism holds that humans and animals should live in balance with the Tao, or the universe.
Alan Watts defines Wu wei essentially as the principle of not forcing anything. His speeches are truly inspiring and I think we could all use a bit of Alan Watts' wisdom to take with us. Since starting therapy, so much of the old/ancient knowledge and wisdom from around the World has really helped me understand myself, life, and how to to succeed and find peace in every aspect. So I'd like to start sharing more of what I have learned along the way.
